ABOUT

PAFID

Perak Association for Intellectually Disabled (PAFID) , formerly known as “The Perak Association for Mentally Retarded”(PAMR), is a voluntary, non-profit, charitable organisation set up to cater for the educational needs, vocational training and rehabilitation of the intellectually disabled people in Perak. Our Association, is under the royal patronage of His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan. Our main school in Kg.Tawas, Ipoh was started on 3rd November 1966 under the Malaysian Council For Child Welfare Perak. The management changed hands and the School was managed by the "Society For The Disabled Perak". On 24th May 1980, the Perak Association for Mentally Retarded was formed to manage the school and its activities.
